This is a family run business, based in the UK (South London) but has a Goan base too, to ensure every holidaymaker in our accommodation has local access to our staff for any advice required both prior to and during their Goan dream.
We firstly visited Goa on the wise advice of my mother in law, as they seem to be the most clued up about what their daughters will appreciate. Like most, we fell in love with the place as did our children, 3 years old and 9 months at the time. By absolute chance we, came across a housing development, which tickled our fancy, whilst staying at the Marriott Hotel in Panjim. We were undecided but knew we would be back soon. On returning to the UK, we discovered that we were going to have another addition to the family, which immediately swayed us into planning for our return to Goa for the birth, as there are not many places that are so pleasantly relaxed, safe and that allow freedom of movement, so absolutely ideal for my family to spend time together and then for my wife to recover after the birth.
So six months later, we returned, and were horrified to find ourselves in a predicament where after the first week, we were going to have to find suitable accommodation to rent for 3 months. Apart from one or two established companies who had properties for rent at extortionate prices, we were fortunate enough to have made contacts on our previous trip who were willing to help us find somewhere, quickly. It was this lack of reliable sources who could understand our needs as visitors, that made us decide to set up Goandream.
Now, we make available to people who are looking for alternative accommodation, apartments and villas for all budgets and requirements, together with a reliable service that you would be accustomed to, including pick ups, maid/laundry service, chauffeurs and access to management and advice, etc.
We are originally of a building, security and engineering background but have expanded into other areas as there is a gaping hole in the marketplace for easy access to accommodation with the creature comforts we are used to and more, yet a bargain at the same time.
Now, although we have a base in Goa, we carry on the main core of the business in the UK. We now spend a lot of the year in Goa and the rest in England so that we can maintain some of the properties that have been bought here by people who live outside India and to maintain the high standards that our renting clients have grown used to.
